Has Whishy Washy White picked up the phone yet?
The Rockliff Liberal Government continues to back in Tasmania’s salmon industry which employs hundreds of Tasmanians, supports regional businesses and communities, and contributes $100 million to the economy.
While Federal Labor are threatening to shut down the salmon industry, Tasmanian Labor continues to fail Tasmanians by not standing up to their Federal Labor colleagues.
Liberal Member for Braddon, Felix Ellis asked if Rebecca White has picked up the phone and told her Federal Labor colleague Tanya Plibersek to keep her hands off our salmon industry?
“Tasmanians will always know where the Liberals stand when it comes to protecting Tasmania’s industries and jobs,” Mr Ellis said.
“What they don’t know is where Labor stand.
“Actions speak louder than words. When will they stand up and back in Tasmanians by taking the fight to Canberra?
“Rebecca White has no issue going to Canberra to actively fight against investment in the Macquarie Point precinct. It’s high time she fights for Tasmania, instead.
“Will she do what’s right and call on Federal Labor to stop using our State as lab rats for their Green mates?
“Labor continue to let their Federal Labor mates off the hook by failing to take action against their threats to kill off our salmon industry and the more than 350 jobs that it supports.
“I call on Tasmanian Labor to do what’s right: stand up to your Federal Labor mates, start fighting for Tasmania and reject Ms Plibersek’s Green-washing efforts to keep her left-wing seat of Sydney constituents happy.”
