Becflips and Becflops: Labor’s horror week

The Tasmanian Labor Party have proven once again that they are not up to the job following a disastrous week in parliament.

Labor has no plan, no aspiration, and no care for the things that actually matter to Tasmanians and their families.

Instead of putting forward detailed policies and plans for debate, they opted to further waste Parliamentary time on cheap stunts.

Then after saying that they would oppose the stadium at every step, under the cover of darkness, Labor voted to progress the stadium as a Project of State Significance, but not before delaying Parliament for 7 hours with another fruitless stunt so the TV cameras wouldn’t catch their betrayal.

They can be assured the Tasmanians they hoodwinked to sign petitions, attend rallies and slap stickers on their cars will be asking serious questions about Labor’s credibility.

They are all over the shop and Tasmanians have every right to be scratching their head and wondering where Labor stand on practically everything.

This stands in stark contrast to the Rockliff Liberal Government who continued to progress our strong agenda by passing six important pieces of legislation, including a bill to deliver more than $25 million to enable implementation of urgent Government action to address the recommendations arising from the Commission of Inquiry’s Final Report.

Tasmanians are sick and tired of the stunts and toxic negativity that has quickly become a hallmark of the Tasmanian Labor Party.

The Rockliff Government will continue getting on with the job, and delivering on the things that actually matter to Tasmanians and their families.
