First responders deserve our thanks
Thank a First Responder Day, June 7, is a reminder for everyone to say thank you to our first responders who work hard every single day to protect and care for those in the community.
Premier and Minister for Health Jeremy Rockliff said our paramedics, police, firefighters, SES volunteers and lifesavers see things most people will never face in their lifetime, and go to work having no idea what they will face during the day.
“Our Government strongly supports our extraordinary first responders, and their dedication to keeping Tasmanians safe is evident in the work they do every single day,” the Premier said.
“We owe them a debt of gratitude, for the fantastic work they do to keep everyone in our community safe.”
Minister for Police, Fire and Emergency Services, Felix Ellis, thanked Tasmania’s first responders for their commitment and bravery when people are at their most vulnerable.
“We can’t thank our volunteers and emergency responders enough for the many thousands of hours they put in to help Tasmanians when they need it the most,” he said.
“We owe every one of them, and their families, for the devotion they show to their local communities.”
