Honouring Tasmania’s finest this National Police Remembrance Day

Tassie’s Police officers are heroes in the truest sense of the word.  

In selflessly protecting our community, they go above and beyond, often placing themselves in harm’s way to ensure the safety of those around them. 
 
This National Police Remembrance Day, we pause to reflect and remember those brave men and women who have lost their life in the line of duty while protecting our loved ones, our communities, and our homes.   
 
Today, we pay tribute for the enduring sacrifice of all those current and former Police who have dedicated their lives to the protection of others.  
 
I ask all Tasmanians to pause for a moment today to reflect on the service of our police and the work that they do every day to keep us safe.
