Lambie called out for wagging Senate to campaign at Launceston Cup
Liberal Member for Braddon, Felix Ellis, has called out Senator Jacqui Lambie for wagging the Australian Senate yesterday to campaign at the Launceston Cup.
“It is simply astonishing that Senator Lambie thinks it’s okay to wag her day job to campaign in the state election,” Mr Ellis said.
“Even worse, while she was down here Senator Lambie failed to talk to media and explain why her candidates won’t have a single policy for voters to consider.
“It’s now day 16 of the election campaign and Senator Lambie has not uttered a single word to Tasmanians about what her party and her candidates stand for – except to gag her candidates on Facebook and walk back her opposition to the Stadium.
“Ms Lambie is trying to sneak some of her candidates into Parliament on the weight of nothing more than a few corflutes and some Facebook advertising.
“Imagine how bad a Labor-led Coalition of Chaos would be with Lambie candidates having no actual policies, and voting on issues depending on which way the wind is blowing that day?
“Senator Lambie needs to front and explain to Tasmanians – why did she wag the Senate to campaign; and what actually are her policies?"
