New dashboard highlights continued commitment to housing

A new, user-friendly Housing Dashboard has been released to further transparency in the delivery of social and affordable housing across the state.

The updated Dashboard features a new format with additional information, including detailed reporting on completed homes, land packages, funding models, and the status of pipeline projects.

Minister for Housing and Planning, Felix Ellis, said since coming to Government, we’ve put an emphasis on implementing additional transparency measures across the board.

“The new Housing Dashboard will give Tasmanians a complete view of the Government’s Housing Strategy,” Minister Ellis said.

“We’re providing full vision of the progress being made towards the Tasmanian Government’s ambitious target of 10,000 social and affordable homes by 2032, along with updates on our MyHome Shared Equity program, housing register, private rentals, and social housing occupancy.

“Under our Government’s 2030 Strong Plan for Tasmania’s Future, we are delivering on our commitment of 10,00 social and affordable homes by 2032,” he said.

Data from the July Dashboard shows the government is on track to deliver it’s 10,000 social and affordable homes commitment, with 3 696 completed and an additional 815 in the pipeline.

The new Dashboard can be found on the Homes Tasmania website and will be released monthly.
