Winter caught with his head in the sand
In another embarrassing blunder, Dean Winter has been exposed for not even knowing the Government’s pro-development, pro-jobs Development Assessment Panels Bill is out for consultation.
In an interview on ABC Drive yesterday, Mr Winter said that Labor would be open to supporting our legislation, if the Minister ‘writes it and provides it to the Opposition’.
Dean Winter must have had his head in the sand otherwise he would know that the legislation was publicly released for consultation on 7 October 2024 – almost 6 weeks ago!
The legislation has been available online and widely circulated for weeks now, yet Mr Winter hasn’t bothered to get across one of the most important planning reforms in years.
Perhaps he has been too preoccupied with his relentless negativity and mudslinging for political sake that he missed the consultation period.
Now that Mr Winter knows the legislation exists, he must finally declare Labor’s position and tell Tasmanians if he will support our pro-jobs Bill or if he’ll cuddle up with the Greens and the NIMBYs again.
