Winter still on th fence

Tasmanians will soon know where Labor stands on supporting more housing and job-creation with the Government’s Development Assessment Panel’s Bill set to be introduced and debated in the Parliament this week.

Dean Winter has been sitting on the fence for 18 months as to whether he supports this pro-jobs, pro-development Bill.

Mr Winter likes to speak out both sides of his mouth, telling one group of people he supports the Bill, and telling others it’s a ‘distraction’ and that he doesn’t support it.

Time is up for Mr Winter and his so-called jobs mantra which will be put the test later this week when Labor is finally forced to pick a side.

Will they get on board and join with the Tasmanian Liberal Government in sending a message to the community and investors that Tasmania is open for business, while putting more roofs over the heads of Tasmanians and growing our economy?

Or, will they join with the blockers, the Greens Party, and stop sensible developments that comply with Tasmania’s planning laws from proceeding, proving once again that Labor are the same old anti-jobs, anti-development party?

If Dean Winter is serious about supporting jobs and development in Tasmania, he won’t be a blocker and hold Tasmania back.
