Merry Christmas and a happy New Year

From my family to yours, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Christmas is such a special time in our community.

An opportunity to reflect on the year that's been and, for those of us who celebrate it, the birth of a most extraordinary child in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago.

For Margot and I, this will be our first Christmas with two children and we are delighted to be able to enjoy this season of joy and wonder with them.

It's also a chance to share each other's hopes for the future as we continue our vital work to make this the best place in the world to live, work, raise a family and retire.

A special thank you to those who are working over the Christmas season so others can take a break - our first responders keeping us safe, the people who care for our loved ones and those who provide the food and hospitality to make Christmas so special.
