Labor's self-serving stunts put politics before people

Labor have once again highlighted their complete lack of a plan and vision for Tasmania by spending the whole of today's Question Time engaging in gutter politics.

When given the chance to ask about things that matter to Tasmanians, Labor instead opted for cheap political games just to try to get a headline.

Leader of the House, Felix Ellis, said Labor’s performance today laid bare their total lack of substance or vision for Tasmania and their preference to always put politics in front of people.

“The Labor leader’s strategy is clear, sending in Ms Dow to ask cheap political questions.

“They didn’t ask a single question about the things that matter to Tasmanians,” Minister Ellis said.

“They failed to ask anything about the Commission of Inquiry, despite claiming it should be the priority.

“After nearly a decade in opposition, Labor have learnt nothing.

“Tasmanians have now rejected Labor at the ballot box three times in a row - and it's little wonder, because they know Labor have no long-term plan or vision for our State.

“Meanwhile the Rockliff Liberal Government has a strong long-term plan and is forging ahead with delivering jobs and services for Tasmanians through a record infrastructure investment agenda.

“We are getting on with the job and are not being distracted by the self-serving stunts that Labor continues to trundle out.”

Minister Ellis said that while Labor focuses on gutter politics, the Rockliff Liberal Government will continue to stick with our long-term plan and delivering for Tasmanians.
